Billing FAQ

The marketing FAQ has the long-form answers. This page is a quick reference to the questions we get most often from technical users.

Is Free really free?

Yes. No card required, 1 app, 5 slideshows/month, manual hook refresh only.

How do trials work?

Signing up with a paid plan starts a 14-day Starter trial. We email 3 days before expiry. If you don't enter a card by trial end, you drop to Free.

When does my usage reset?

On invoice.payment_succeeded each billing period. For monthly plans, that's roughly the same day each month. Annual plans reset monthly too — the usage counter is independent of the renewal cadence.

What happens if my card fails?

Your org status flips to PAST_DUE and we email the owner. You keep read access for 14 days (Stripe smart retries). After that, the org is suspended until you add a working card.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes — every charge sends a PDF invoice to the org owner's email. Past invoices are listed under /billing in the dashboard.

Do you offer refunds?

Within 7 days of the first paid charge, no questions asked. After that, we evaluate case by case — email billing@viralslides.app with your org id.
